Hamilton Twilight Series
We hosted four Hamilton Twilight Track Meets in our Summer Series this year. Thanks to all the racers, coaches, officials and volunteers for making each one a huge success! Hamilton is a great place to run fast, as we saw tons of PBs, a few new records and even a two American Paralympic records. If you didn't get a chance to win a swanky button, they will be back next year!

World Junior Orienteering Championships, Engadin, Switzerland, July 10, 2016
Incoming recruit Emma Waddington finished 30th in the Sprint event at the Junior World Orienteering Championships in Switzerland, as well as racing for the Canadian team in the Relay event.

Incoming recruit Sergio Raez Villanueva finished 23rd in the 10,000m at the World U20 Champs3 New Joggling World Records for Gabrielle Foran
Joggler Gabrielle Foran achieved 3 New World Records in the Women's 3-ball 400m, 1 Mile and 10km joggling events. Alum Andrew Yorke represented Canada and McMaster at the 2016 Rio Olympics! Unfortunately he suffered a crash on the bike but bravely persevered to finish the race in 42nd place. Just got diagnosed with HSV1, and reading this actually made me feel like crawling and crying like a baby. The outbreak I have right now is genital and in my throat and mouth, I talked to the doctor who did the blood test on me and said over time that it would eventually get much better. She said that what I’m having is a massive outbreak and is unusual, but that it may be due to the fact that I stressed myself out over it so much. She also told me even though I have it in the genital area that It doesn't mean that I needed “private to private” contact to acquire it. But this did make me feel a whole lot better about the whole situation.
