Tat & Marauder Track Brightest at McMaster

The Marauder-Scholar brunch was this past weekend and the Track and Cross Country teams were more than well represented.
Marauder-Scholars are those competitors that have maintained a grade average of 9.5 in a minimum of 24 units of course-work. For the 2010-11 academic year, McMaster produced 206 Marauder-Scholars, which is approximately one-third of all student-athletes.
Winning thDr. Jack Kennedy Award, was the the track team's own Jimmy "Ratatatat" Tat. The award is presented annually to one male student that best combine outstanding academic achievement and athletic excellence. Candidates exemplify the high ideals of Dr. Kennedy, including the qualities of excellence, integrity, community involvement and the development of the whole student-athlete.

Read the nice piece on Mr. Tat here.

The track and field team also scored the highest number of Marauder Scholars with 21, while the Cross Country team was fifth.
