Marauders.ca Canada Summer Games Article

The Marauders website posted an article last week highlighting McMaster athletes who will be competing at the Canada Summer Games in Sherbrooke between August 2nd and 17th. Featured in the article are Connor Darlington, Austen Forbes, Blair Morgan, and recruit Reid Burrows. You can read the article here.

Weekly Results: July 29th- August 4th

We're heading down the backstretch of the summer racing season, as most of the Marauders have left the tracks and bikes behind in favour of trails to prepare for the upcoming cross country season. McMaster posted some strong results at the provincial triathlon championships in Ottawa, which ended up being the provincial duathlon championships due to high bacteria levels in the bay. Mac athletes and alumni swept the top 5 in the elite category, with Andrew Beardsall finishing top 10 in the junior event. Blair Morgan also led his relay team to a win at the 30th annual K-Town Tri in Kingston on Sunday, posting the 2nd fastest swim time of the day.

U23/Elite Provincial Triathlon Championships:
Andrew Bysice, 1st
Austen Forbes, 2nd
Taylor Reid, 3rd
Blair Morgan, 4th
Jon Rasmussen, 5th
David Hopton, 7th

Junior Provincial Triathlon Championships:
Andrew Beardsall, 9th

30th Annual K-Town Tri:

Passing the Torch

I just wanted to take a quick moment to let our readers know that I, Jeremy, have relinquished control of this blog, and am passing it off to some young talents that will be on the McMaster team this year and following.

Contributors you've already seen posts from are:

Taylor Forbes - Going into his third year in psychology, this triathlete has excelled both on the track and on grass.

Greg Lariviere - Perhaps best known as the painted-up guy running around the cross country course, Greg is entering his fourth year in kinesiology.

Madeline McDonald - Going into her second year of kinesiology, Maddy hasbeen a very frequent topic on this blog due to her outstanding performances thus far.

Blair Morgan - Another triathlete, Blair is heading into his third year of Chemical and Biological Engineering, and has taken over the majority of the work for the blog.

I will still be involved with some things in the future, but the bulk of the work will be done by the fantastic four listed above, and other contributors on the team. As a semi-retirement present, I put together a few of my favourite moments behind the camera over the years with MacTrack. After all, the blog started to showcase videos.
