Admittedly we were pretty slow on this news story, but thanks to Eric Barry for the pointing it out.
A former McMaster Marauder runner won the Goodlife Toronto Marathon on May 6th in 2:27:57. He also won the race last year in worse conditions in 2:27:19. He is teaching highschool in Dundas and working out and doing his MBA at McMaster. If you see him on campus, give him a high-five and ask him to take some extra courses and run cross country next year!
Looking back at his time at Mac, he only raced in the 2005-06 year for McMaster, his rookie year, finishing 51st at OUA cross country, and then running a 9:08 indoors for 3000m.
In other results, Brendan was 5th at last years Around the Bay 30k finishing in 1:42:10, he ran the Burlington Good Friday 10 Mile in 51:35 last year for the win, and arguably his best time was his 1:07:20 to win the Chilly Half Marathon in 2009.
